Task 1a My CV and 1d photos of my work

Hello everyone! I have created a gadget to the right of my blog page with the first draft of my CV, I have included a photo stream from flickr with my portfolio pictures.
I have also uploaded a photostream of " photos of my work" but if the photo stream is too slow to load please click the link to be taken straight to the website.
Any helpful comments are very welcome,
Thanks,
Emily

  1. Hi Emily, you have some lovely photos and it was good to see Fred in some of those with you! On all the pictures your enthusiasm, sparkle and love for performing shines out. The photostream loaded quickly for me, but still took me to the Flickr website. Is there any way of viewing all the photos on this page? I'd love to know for when I have to upload mine as well.

I like the simplicity and clarity of your CV - it is easy to see training and work at a glance. Perhaps for people not familiar with Costa's choreography you could list your styles of dance? (It would also disillusion people who may think that cruise work is all showgirl!)

  2. Thank you Aicha, your comments are very helpful!
I checked on the settings and it is possible to upload all the photos to this page but only small thumbnails. I tried this as I thought it would be a good idea to maybe see them all up on my blog but it took up too much room and took ages to load both them and the rest of my page. So instead I added an extra 3 photos to the thumbnails in the corner and put the setting on random so the photos should be different every time anyone views my blog.
I also changed the link at the bottom to "View all photos" so that hopefully people will understand that not all my photos are on my page and they can click the link to go.

On the CV front I think it's definitely a good idea for me to list my different dance styles, I'm also going to work on a new draft which I can up load to google.docs. A few others on the course have already done this and I think it's a better way to view the CV and its also in a format that could be handed to a future employer.
